Intense fever and hot and humid public life. In this situation, special namaz or istiskar (prayer for water) prayers have been offered in different areas of the capital to save the rain.

On Tuesday (April 22) at around 10:30 am, local worshipers took part in this special prayer held in the premises of Salambagh Jame Masjid and Jamia Anwarul Uloom Madrasa in East Rampura of the capital.

Praying for rain to save from the heat by performing the Istikhar Namaz. Refuge is sought from Allah.

Around the same time, a special Istiska Namaz was organized by Al Sunnah Foundation in Aftabnagar of the capital. This prayer was performed under the Imamate of Sheikh Ahmadullah Huzur. At this time, asking for forgiveness for their sins, they pray to Allah for forgiveness and rain.

A person named Mohiuddin Ahmed, who participated in this special prayer held at the Salam Bagh Jame Masjid in Rampura, said that it has been very hot for a few days. Getting out of the house has become difficult. Even running the fan all the time in the room does not provide relief.

He said that it is so hot now because of no rain. So today we prayed Istika prayer to be saved from this hot weather and to get Allah’s mercy for rain. I asked God for forgiveness and prayed for rain. Hopefully Allah will save us from this situation.

Praying istiskar prayer. Another worshiper named Mamun said, Islam has a provision to pray to Allah for rain. People’s life has become miserable due to few days of excessive heat. It’s not even raining. So praying to Allah for getting rid of hot weather and rain has been done.

He said, this morning, it was announced on the microphone from the mosque that Istiska prayers would be offered for rain. After hearing this announcement, I went to the mosque. There many people like me perform this special prayer and ask Allah for forgiveness. There is no one to protect us except Allah.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted an increase in the daytime temperature on Wednesday as well. Meteorologists have said that the temperature will rise again and severe heat wave may start in different parts of the country.

Last Saturday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at 42.6 degrees Celsius in Jessore. This was the highest maximum temperature this season. The day temperature on that day was 42.4 degrees Celsius at Chuadanga and 42 degrees Celsius at Pabna’s Ishwar Di.

The maximum temperature in Dhaka was 40.4 degrees Celsius. After two days of decline, the highest temperature in the country was 40.6 degrees Celsius in Khulna, Jessore and Chuadanga on Monday. The maximum temperature in Dhaka was 37.8 degrees Celsius.

Mild to severe heat waves are still prevailing over a large part of the country. Human suffering has become extreme. Although the temperature dropped a little, it did not bring relief to the public life.

Worshipers praying for rain

According to the Meteorological Department, mild if the temperature is between 36 and 37.9 degrees Celsius over a wide area, moderate if it is between 38 and 39.9 degrees Celsius, severe if it is between 40 and 41.9 degrees Celsius and more than 42 degrees Celsius is called super-severe. is called heat wave.

Meteorologist Md. in the next 24-hour weather forecast from Tuesday morning. Hafizur Rahman said that in two places of Sylhet division there may be temporary rain with gusty wind or rain with thunder. Along with that, there may be scattered rain of hail at some places. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky.

During this time, the day temperature may rise slightly across the country and the night temperature may remain almost unchanged. He also said that discomfort may prevail due to excess water vapor.

Hafizur Rahman also said that intense heat wave is flowing over Rajshahi, Pabna, Khulna, Bagerhat, Jessore, Chuadanga and Kushtia districts. A mild to moderate heat wave is prevailing over the remainder of Dhaka, Rangpur and Barisal divisions and Rajshahi and Khulna divisions including Mymensingh, Moulvibazar and Rangamati districts and may persist.

Stating that storms may occur in two places in Chittagong and Sylhet divisions on Wednesday, the meteorologist said that the day temperature may increase slightly across the country on Wednesday and the night temperature may remain almost unchanged. Excess water vapor may cause discomfort.
