Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who is visiting Bangladesh, sat in a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The meeting started on Tuesday (April 23) morning at the Prime Minister’s office.

Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted him with flowers at the Tiger Gate when he reached the prime minister’s office at Tenjagao in the capital at 10:30 am.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim will participate in a photo session at the Globe Hall of the Prime Minister’s Office after the private meeting.

It is known that 11 agreements and memorandum of understanding (MOU) will be signed between the two countries during the Amir’s visit. These include six agreements and five MoUs. His visit will discuss trade and investment as well as the special situation in the Middle East resulting from the Iran-Israel conflict.

The Emir of Qatar will pay a courtesy call on the President at Bangabhaban this afternoon. He will then leave Dhaka by special flight in the evening.
