Heat waves will persist, sporadically

Dhaka: Scattered hail may occur in some parts of the country. But the heat wave will continue.

The Meteorological Office has given such a forecast on Tuesday (April 23).

Meteorologist Kho. Hafizur Rahman said, the extension of low pressure is located in West Bengal and adjoining areas.

Rain/thundershower with gusty/gusty winds may occur temporarily at a couple of places in Sylhet division till Wednesday (April 24) morning. Along with that, there may be scattered hailstorms at some places. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky.

Intense heatwave is sweeping over Rajshahi, Pabna, Khulna, Bagerhat, Jessore, Chuadanga and Kushtia districts. Mild to moderate heat waves are prevailing over the remainder of Dhaka, Rangpur and Barisal divisions and Rajshahi and Khulna divisions including Mymensingh, Moulvibazar and Rangamati districts and will continue.

Day temperatures may rise slightly across the country and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged. Excess water vapor will cause discomfort.

From Wednesday morning to Thursday (April 25) morning, a couple of places in Chittagong and Sylhet divisions may experience rain/thunder with gusty winds temporarily. Along with that, there may be scattered hailstorms at some places. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky. The prevailing heat wave may continue.

Day temperatures may rise slightly across the country and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged. Excess water vapor will cause discomfort.

The weather will be mainly dry with partly cloudy skies from Thursday morning to Friday (April 26) morning. The prevailing heat wave may continue.

Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country. Excess water vapor may cause discomfort. The weather may change slightly during the extended five days.
