The importance of strengthening Bangladesh-US economic relations

US Trade Representative (USTR) Assistant for South and Central Asia Brendan Lynch met with Foreign Secretary Masoud Bin Momen. They emphasized strengthening the economic relationship between Bangladesh and the United States.

The meeting was held on Monday (April 22) at Rashtriya Guest House Padma.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Brendan Lynch, Assistant for South and Central Asia Affairs of the Office of the US Trade Representative (USTR), met with the Secretary of State Masoud Bin Momen. In the meeting, they discussed various aspects of Bangladesh-US trade relations in detail.

They stressed the importance of strengthening economic ties between the two countries and exploring avenues for increased cooperation in trade and investment. Both sides expressed commitment from their respective positions to create a favorable environment for bilateral trade, remove trade barriers and promote mutual economic growth.

Brendan Lynch came to Dhaka with a five-member delegation to attend an intersessional meeting of the Council on the Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum Agreement (TICFA) between Bangladesh and the United States. Brendan Lynch led the delegation.
