On Thursday, April 25, the traditional Abdul Jabbar ball game of Chittagong. A 3-day Boishakhi fair is being organized from April 24 to April 26 on the occasion of Balikhela.

Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) informed that during Balikhela and Baisakhi Fair, all types of vehicles will be controlled in the direction of Laldighi from next Wednesday to Friday at designated places adjacent to the fair due to the gathering of buyers and sellers.

CMP Traffic-South Division Deputy Commissioner of Police NM Naseeruddin said that vendors from different parts of the country will bring their products to the fair on the edge of Laldighi and many important people including buyers will gather. During Bali Khel and Baisakhi Mela, the city’s Andarkilla Mor (in front of Jame Masjid), Old Telegraph Road, Bose Brothers Mor (in front of Police Plaza), Rifle Club, Kotwali Mor (CDA Gate), Amanat Shah Mazar Road and Teribazar Flower Shop (three roads) face) Diversion will be provided by placing road blocks ahead. As a result, all types of traffic in the direction of Laldighi will be controlled at that time.

Along with Chittagong port-centered import-export, cargo trucks-covered vans and other vehicles from other regions of the country will travel to Chaktai-Khatunganj via Kotwali Junction and Firingibazar Marine Drive Road via Chaktai and Rajkhali.

For the smooth completion of the Baisakhi Mela to be held on the occasion of the traditional Abdul Jabbar Balikhela, all concerned including drivers and passengers of all types of vehicles are specially requested to follow the instructions mentioned. In case of necessity, it has been advised to avoid the roads in the area for 3 days and use alternative roads.-Bus
