Meanwhile, Gopalganj Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology has suspended classes and examinations due to unbearable heat. However, online classes will be held till next Saturday. In the press release yesterday, the university administration also informed that office activities will continue from 9 am to 1 pm. Apart from this, the central library and emergency services of the university will function as usual.

Two deaths due to heat stroke
A farmer named Montu Hossain (45) died of heat stroke yesterday afternoon in Bagmara of Rajshahi while working in the corn field. He is the son of Muslim Ali of Jamalpur village of Goalkandi union of the upazila. At that time the temperature of the concerned area was 40 degrees.

Sajeda Begum, wife of the deceased said that her husband died due to intense heat. This farmer had no disease.

A salon worker named Swapan Sheel (45) died of heat stroke in Pirojpur. He died on Sunday night at his residence in Shikarpur on Club Road in the city. Dulal Sheel, brother-in-law and colleague of the deceased, said that his sister-in-law Swapan worked in the salon all day in the heat and fell ill at night after returning home. It was not possible to take him to the hospital as it was late at night.

Apart from this, a young man named Sohel Rana lost consciousness and fell on the road due to heat stroke in Shajahanpur, Bogra. He was cured by pouring water on his head and giving first aid. This incident took place yesterday afternoon in Majhira area of ​​the upazila. He is an employee of a private company and a resident of Betagari area of ​​Majhira. He fainted on the way back from work. At the time of this incident, the temperature in the concerned area was 38.9 degrees.

People’s life is suffocating in the scorching sun and scorching heat. Volunteers are distributing drinks to the pedestrians to give some relief. Apex club and online blood donation organization distributed syrup in Satmatha area of ​​Bogra yesterday afternoon. Sohail Ahmed, the founder of the organization, said that there are reports of death due to heat stroke in summer from different places. In this situation, a glass of water is very important for people on the road. The syrup is being poured from that thought.
Apart from this, some youths of the city are distributing cold water among the rickshaw pullers with their own funds.
