1 killed in a collision between two motorcycles and a truck in Chakaria

A motorcyclist named Michbah Uddin (28) was killed on the spot in a head-on collision between two motorcycles and an oil truck coming from the opposite direction on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway at Chakria in Cox’s Bazar. At that time, five other riders on two motorcycles were seriously injured.

The accident happened in front of Jhilmil Cafe in the municipal area of ​​the upazila around 3:30 on Monday (April 22).

The deceased Michbah Uddin is the son of Jasim Uddin of Charandwip area of ​​Chiringa Union of Upazila.

The injured are Jamal Uddin (38), son of Islam Ahmad of Malumghat area of ​​Dulahajara union of the upazila, Jahangir Alam (55), son of Khorshed Alam of the same area, Montazir (15), younger brother of deceased Michbah Uddin, a school student, Akkas Uddin (32), son of Shahab Uddin of Palakata area of ​​Chiringa union. ) and Shahab Uddin (26) son of Zainal Abedin of Dumkhali area of ​​Dulahazara Union.

It is known that Michbah Uddin’s brother Miskat Uddin got married on Monday. Michbah was going on a motorcycle to bring his elder brother’s bride. On the way, two motorcycles collided head-on with an oil truck coming from the opposite direction when they reached in front of the Jhilmil Cafe adjacent to Moulvirkum Bazar of Chakaria Municipality on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway. Two motorcycle riders were injured after falling off the road. Locals rescued the injured and took them to Chakaria Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty declared Michbah Uddin dead. The other injured have been sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for better treatment.

The condition of two of the injured is said to be critical.

Officer-in-charge (OC, Inspector) of Chiringa Highway Police Station Mahbubul Haque Bhuiyan said, ‘A police team was quickly dispatched to the spot after receiving information about the road accident in the area adjacent to Moulvirkum Bazar on the highway. However, immediately after the accident, with the help of locals, the injured were quickly rescued and sent to Chakaria Government Hospital for treatment. Also the cars involved in the accident have been seized.

He said that legal action is being taken in this incident.
