Regarding the signing of the Free Trade Agreement with the Eurasian Economic Commission, Bangladesh will get the support of Kyrgyzstan, said the country’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Avazbek Atakhanov. He is now in Bangladesh on a three-day visit.
Monday (April 22) in the afternoon at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. Avazbek Atakhanov had a courtesy meeting with Hasan Mahmud. At this time, he expressed his country’s support to Bangladesh.
During the meeting, Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmood expressed satisfaction over the successful completion of the first Foreign Office Consultation (FOC) between the two countries.
Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud recalled the valuable support of the Kyrgyz people as part of the former USSR in the liberation war of Bangladesh. He said, there are many opportunities to increase bilateral trade between the two countries.
Dr. appealed to Kyrgyzstan to import clothes, medicines, jute products, tropical fruits, ceramics, IT products and services from Bangladesh. Hasan Mahmud.
In the meeting, the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh requested the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan to support Bangladesh in signing the Free Trade Agreement with the Eurasian Economic Commission and support Bangladesh’s candidates in various international forums.
Besides, Hasan Mahmud sought Kyrgyzstan’s assistance in immediately repatriating the Rohingyas to their homeland Myanmar and ending the war in Gaza, Palestine.
During the meeting, Kyrgyz Deputy Foreign Minister Avazhbek Atakhanov praised Bangladesh’s success in various sectors including agriculture. He said that about 1000 Bangladeshi students are studying in Kyrgyzstan.
Avazhbek also said that Kyrgyzstan has huge power and the country is producing about 22 to 24 tons of gold annually. He said that there is an opportunity to recruit large manpower.
Avazbek mentioned that Kyrgyzstan will support Bangladesh in signing a free trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Commission. And, he expects the support of Bangladesh in the United Nations and international forums.
