Inauguration of TL-2024 with the joint participation of Bangladesh Army and US Pacific Army Command: Sangbad Online

The opening ceremony of Exercise Tiger Lightning (TL)-2024 was held with the joint participation of Bangladesh Army and United States Pacific Army Command (USARPAC).

Monday morning was held at Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operations Training (BIPSOT) in Rajendrapur cantonment of Gazipur.

Bangladesh Army Quartermaster General, Lt. Gen. Md. Mojibur Rahman (SBP, OSP, PPMS, PBGMS, NDC, PSC, MPhil) attended the event and inaugurated the exercise.

At this time, he said, Bangladesh will make an effective contribution to strengthen the existing relationship between the army and the US army. It is undoubtedly a good field to learn from practical experience. He also said that the Bangladesh Armed Forces have a rich history of conducting successful operations in hostile environments of United Nations peacekeeping missions.

The US Armed Forces, on the other hand, have extensive experience operating successfully across the globe in a variety of security situations. In this case, the armies of both countries will benefit by exchanging experience with each other.

On behalf of the US Pacific Army Command (USARPAC), Lt. Col. Joshua Long was present as a special guest on this occasion.

This exercise is being held in Bangladesh for the fifth time.
