Dhaka: The Kyrgyz Republic, a Muslim-dominated country in Central Asia, wants to take skilled manpower from Bangladesh. Besides, the country also wants to strengthen economic relations with Bangladesh.

The deputy foreign minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Avazbek Atakhanov, who is visiting Dhaka, said these things after a meeting with Prime Minister’s Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F. Rahman at the Bangladesh Investment Building in Agargaon in the capital on Monday (April 22) afternoon.

At this time, Salman F. Rahman said that there is an opportunity to increase cooperation between the two countries in various sectors including ready-made clothing industry, education. Both countries want to use these opportunities. Besides, the two countries can also work in the agriculture and technology sectors.

He said that about 1000 Bangladeshi medical students are studying in the country. The country expects more students from Bangladesh.

Kyrgyz Republic boosts ties with European Union during Covid Since then, the country has been exporting the garment industry to the European Union. Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Avazbek Atakhanov, who is visiting Bangladesh, has expressed his desire to jointly export clothes to the European Union with Bangladesh.

In the briefing, the Kyrgyz minister praised the ongoing socio-economic development of Bangladesh and said that the Kyrgyz Prime Minister wants to visit Bangladesh and has expressed interest in hiring workers from Bangladesh in production-oriented industries.
