Under the leadership of Jubo League leaders in Chittagong

Chittagong: Channel 24 staff cameraperson Salim Ullah was injured in the attack while recording a video of the clash between two terrorist groups.

The incident took place near Mansurabad DB office in the city around 10:30 pm on Sunday (April 20).

Local Jubo League leader Saddam Hussain and his followers clashed with the local Jubo League to dominate the area.

Salim, who was injured in the attack, said that he was recording a video during the incident.

Saddam Hussein and his followers attacked him at that time. Beating him, he was taken to an empty place next door. There, the terrorists tried to kill him with a knife after beating him and verbally abusing him. When the locals came forward, Saddam and his forces fled. The terrorists also smashed his mobile phone which was recording the video.

Later, the injured journalist Salim was rescued and taken to Chittagong Medical Emergency Department for treatment. Doctors said that his eyes and leg ligaments were injured.

Meanwhile, a case was filed at Doublemooring Police Station in the night regarding the attack. Seven people have been arrested so far in the case. However, the master Saddam Hossain is still on the run.

Doublemooring police station OC Fazlul Quader Patwari said, efforts are on to arrest Saddam and other fugitives. All will be brought under the law. The incident is being investigated with utmost importance.

Locals said that Saddam, who built an illegal furniture market on the sidewalk in the city’s Manshurabad area, is basically a teenage gang leader. Saddam has built furniture godowns by occupying not only the footpaths but also the huge area of ​​the Roads and Highways Department. Locals are fed up with various misdeeds including extortion, theft, robbery by his forces.
