Remand of 7 people detained in connection with KNF is granted

The court granted 2-day remand to 7 persons arrested on charges of ‘KNF’ involvement in 2 separate cases of terrorist attack on 3 banks in Ruma and Thanchi, robbery of arms and money and kidnapping of bank manager.

Bandarban Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Judge Senior Judicial Magistrate Nurul Haque gave this order on Monday afternoon.

According to court sources, the order directed the interrogation of the female accused Miss Geminio Bum (20) at the jail gate.

Miss Geminio Bum, As Loncheo Bum (19) and Bhannun Nuam Bum (23) in Thanchi police station case and Lal Lian Siam Bum (57), Miss Lal Rin Tloam Bum (20), Bhan Nuam Bum (37) and Bhan Lal in Ruma Police case. Thang Bom (45) was taken to court.

Meanwhile, Court Inspector AK Fazlur Haque applied for 5 days remand for each of the accused. On the other hand, when the lawyer of the accused, Advocate Kazi Mohtul Hossain Pari, submitted a bail application for them, after the hearing of both parties, the learned court granted each of them a 2-day remand.

So far, police remand has been granted to 60 of the 68 people arrested in the case of terror attack on 3 banks in Ruma and Thanchi.
