A discussion meeting on ‘Liberation War, Mujibnagar Government and Bangladesh of Harmony’ was held at Dhaka University (DU).
On Monday (April 22) at 10:30 a.m., this discussion meeting was held at RC Majumdar Arts Auditorium of the university under the initiative of Sampriti’s Bangladesh DU branch.
The member secretary of the DU branch of the organization conducting the discussion. Mohammad Bahauddin Pro-VC (Education) of DU was present as the chief guest. Sitesh Chandra Bachar. The central convenor of ‘Sampreeti Bangladesh’ Piyush Bandarjeya as the main negotiator and the Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy of DU as the negotiator. Firoz Ahmed spoke.
In the president’s speech, Professor Biman Chandra Barua said, when talking about the liberation war, Mujibnagar government or recent Bangladesh, the name of Bangabandhu comes before everyone. Among the politically astute figures in history, there is none other than Bangabandhu, the persecuted, downtrodden figure. It is only by looking to his ideals that we find the strength to walk. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is trying to finish the unfinished works of Bangabandhu.
At this time, he shed light on the history of the Mujibnagar government and the liberation war and thanked everyone present on the occasion.
Piyush Banerjee said in the speech of the chief negotiator, “Whatever is discussed about the six points and the liberation war of Bangladesh, Dhaka University and Battala come up.” These involve not human emotions, but human desires. If April doesn’t come in our life, December wouldn’t come. Victory on December 16 was not easy if the Mujibnagar government was not formed. But today the month of April is neglected a lot.
He said, only through the formation of this Mujibnagar government, a country called Bangladesh came to be known to the world. At this time, he emphasized on maintaining peace and harmony among all in building the Sonar Bangla of Bangabandhu’s dream.
In the chief guest’s speech, DU Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Sitesh Chandra Bachar said, Bangladesh is a country of peace and harmony. Anti-independence evil forces are working to destroy this harmony. He called on everyone, including the young generation, to come forward to build a non-communal Bangladesh under the prudent and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina by confronting this evil.
Central Member Secretary Prof. Dr. welcomed the meeting. Mamun Al Mahtab Swapnil, Prof. Rafiqul Islam Soumet Bharatiya and Prof. Dr. Rita Chowdhury. Teachers and students of various departments and institutes were present at this time.
