However, the other four colleges which have recently been taken under Chittagong University, all of them are facing teacher shortage. The remaining four educational institutions are Chittagong College, Haji Muhammad Mohsin College, Sir Ashutosh Government College and Satkania Government College. On April 4, the Ministry of Education informed about the affiliation through a letter. Then on April 5 at 2:30 pm, principals of five colleges held a meeting with Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor Abu Taher. The meeting discussed the admission process, teacher and infrastructure crisis.

When asked, Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor Abu Taher told Prothom Alo that a meeting has been held to find out how the colleges are currently running. There was a preliminary discussion on teacher-crisis, teaching methods and admission process. There will be another meeting with the principals of the five colleges soon. Deans of various faculties of the university will also be there. Action plan will emerge.

The principals of five colleges told Prothom Alo that earlier there was no exam for admission to graduation. Admission could be done on the basis of higher secondary results. From now on, written examination will be conducted for first year undergraduate admissions in these five colleges—preliminarily discussed. Will be finalized soon.
