Bandarban: The court granted two-day remand to three persons in the case of robbery at Sonali Bank of Ruma Upazila of Bandarban, attack on the mosque and robbery of police weapons. They are Lal Lian Siam Bom, Van Nuam Thang Bom and Van Lal Thang Bom.
In the same case, a woman named Lal Rin Treang Bom has been ordered to be interrogated at the jail gate for two days.
On the other hand, the court granted a two-day remand to KNF associates Aselon Cheo Bom and Vannun Nuam Bom, suspects in the Thanchi Sonali and Krishi Bank robbery cases, and a woman named Geminio Bom in the same case was ordered to be interrogated at the jail gate for two days.
On Monday (April 22) at 12:30 PM, the seven accused in the Ruma and Thanchi bank attacks in Bandarban were produced in the Bandarban Chief Judicial Magistrate Court from the Bandarban District Jail under tight security. Later, when Senior Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Nurul Haque appeared before the court, the court gave this order.
In the court, investigating officers of Ruma, Thanchi police station and court inspector AK Fazlul Haque applied for a five-day remand for the interrogation of the accused and the lawyer of the accused, advocate Kazi Mahtul Hossain, applied for the bail of the accused.
Incidentally, on April 2 Ruma Sonali Bank robbery, kidnapping of the manager, mosque attack and theft of police weapons, 5 cases were filed at Ruma Police Station and on April 3 afternoon robbery occurred at Sonali Bank and Krishi Bank in Thanchi Upazila of Bandarban. After four cases were registered in this incident, police raided. So far 68 accused have been arrested in 9 cases.
