The 54th Great Independence Day and National Day were celebrated in Oman with due dignity by the Bangladesh Embassy. The event was organized at the five-star Sheraton Hotel on Sunday (April 21).

At the beginning of the program, the ambassador to Bangladesh appointed in Oman. Nazmul Islam welcomed the invited guests.

Saeed bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Sakri, Minister of Finance of Oman, was the chief guest.

At the beginning of his speech, Ambassador Nazmul Islam remembered the greatest father of the Bengali nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, 300,000 brave martyrs and 200,000 mothers and sisters who lost their dignity. He said Bangabandhu dreamed of a golden Bengal of a happy, prosperous dream. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working tirelessly to realize this dream. Under the dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister, Bangladesh is advancing at an unstoppable speed on the highway of development through the implementation of various mega projects in Bangladesh.

The ambassador urged everyone to come forward to build a smart Bangladesh. During this, he presented the various development progress of the current government. Finally, thank the community.

The event was attended by ambassadors, diplomats and embassies of various countries in Oman, prominent people of the community, leaders, businessmen and civil society representatives.
