Dhaka, April 22, 2024 (BSS): Day temperatures may drop across the country and are expected to rise tomorrow from Tuesday. The Meteorological Department has issued a new heat alert till Wednesday.
Meanwhile, tonight’s temperature may remain almost unchanged. Excess water vapor will cause discomfort.
According to the weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 am today, very intense heat waves are blowing over Pabna and Chuadanga districts. Intense heat waves are blowing over Rajshahi, Tangail, Jessore and Kushtia districts. Mild to moderate heat wave is moving over remnants of Dhaka, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions including Srimangal and Chandpur districts and Barisal division including Rangpur, Mymensingh and may persist.
On the other hand, two places in Sylhet, Mymensingh and Chittagong divisions may experience rain with gusty winds or rain with thunder. Along with that there may be scattered hail at some places. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky.
According to the weather synoptic, an additional low pressure area is located over West Bengal and nearby areas.
The ongoing heat wave across the country may continue tomorrow. Day and night temperatures may rise across the country. Variations in water vapor may cause discomfort. Besides, the weather may remain dry with partly cloudy sky.
Temporarily gusty or windy rain or drizzle may occur at a couple of places in Sylhet division. Along with that, there may be scattered hailstones at some places. Elsewhere the weather may remain dry with partly cloudy sky.
On April 24, weather may remain dry with partly cloudy skies. Day and night temperatures may rise. Water vapor may cause discomfort.
