The Women’s Twenty20 World Cup will be held in September. Its preparation has already started. Sylhet International Cricket Stadium will undergo several renovation works. Bangladesh will play a five-match T20 series against India after a few days on the main and outer grounds of this venue.

The World Cup matches will also be held at the same place. Along with Sylhet Cricket Stadium, Mirpur’s Sher Bangla National Cricket Stadium is in the list of possible venues. The ICC delegation came to Dhaka to see the preparation of the 10-team World Cup.

After Mirpur Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium, they will also visit Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Members of the five-member delegation to Bangladesh are – Women’s World Cup Event Operations Manager Gurjit Singh, Pitch Consultant Andy Atkinson, Commercial and Sponsorship Department Laila Stein, Hospitality Department Alana White and Security Specialist David Musker.

Women’s teams of Bangladesh, Australia, England, India, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies and Pakistan will play directly in the upcoming World Cup. The remaining two teams will be selected.
