Chittagong: Bangladesh Chhatra League has announced and given necessary instructions to plant more than 5 lakh trees in 10 days with the aim of getting rid of the recent severe heat wave and achieving sustainable development.

In order to make the tree planting program of Bangladesh Chhatra League successful, the Govt. Haji Muhammad Mohsin College Chhatra League has started a program of planting hundreds of saplings at different points of the campus and nearby roads.

Maymun Uddin Mamun, Joint Convener of Bangladesh Chhatra League, inaugurated the tree planting program organized by Bangladesh Chhatra League Government Haji Muhammad Mohsin College Branch on Monday (April 22) morning.

He said, on behalf of Education Minister Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel MP, we are planting forest, fruit and herb trees in the campus.

Due to climate change, severe heat wave is going on across the country which is seriously affecting the normal life of the people. As a result of the intense heat and human oppression of nature and environment today, nature has become extremely ugly. Due to indiscriminate killing of trees, destruction of forests and felling of mountains, nature has become enraged. Planting trees is very important to save us from this rude behavior of nature. Then maybe nature will get its own environment. The heat will decrease from the earth.

He said, on the occasion of Environment Day-2024, Bangladesh Chhatra League has planned to plant one crore trees and enter the Guinness Book of World Records. Our tree plantation program will continue for 10 days.

Leaders of Mohsin College Chhatra League Mir Muhammad Ravi, Arif Ullah Wahidi, Yuvraj Dash, Rokan Uddin, Asadullahil Ghalib, Erfan Sajjat, Abu Salek, Ashfaq Uz Zaman, Parvez Musharraf Jisan, Meher Islam Ayan, Simon Uddin, Muhammad Tuhin, Sakibul Alam were present on the occasion. etc.
