Three passengers along with one kg of gold were detained from Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong.
On Monday morning, members of National Security Intelligence (NSI) and Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department (CIID) conducted a joint operation and arrested them.

The arrested are Mubarak Ali of Cox’s Bazar, Satkaniyar of Chittagong. Nazmul Haque and Anwar Mohammad Shah of Sandwip, Chittagong.
Chittagong Airport Director Group Captain Taslim Ahmed confirmed the recovery of gold and the arrest of three persons to The Daily Star.
He said that three people landed at Chittagong Airport from Dubai on Bangladesh Biman flight BG-148 at 6:45 am. They brought more than one kilogram of gold in clothes and blankets. NSI and CIID members detained them due to their suspicious movements.
He also said that the detainees were handed over to the police.
