Chittagong: RAB-7 arrested the absconding accused Roni Akhtar who was sentenced to life imprisonment in the case of murder of 12-year-old child Azim of Bayezid Bostami area. After 8 long years he was arrested from Rouzan Gahira area.

Senior Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-7. Nurul Abshar said that the court sentenced Roni Akhtar to life imprisonment and issued an arrest warrant as the charge of killing the child Azim was proved.
Life sentence absconding convict Roni Akhter is staying in Gahira Elka of Raujan Police Station of Chittagong District. Rony Akhtar was arrested on the basis of such secret information on Saturday night around 9:30. Roni Akhtar said during interrogation that he had been hiding in different places of the country including Chittagong for 8 years to avoid arrest. It has been handed over to Phatikchari police station for further legal action.
