Chittagong: A resident named MA Wadud of Hillview Society approached Chittagong District Commissioner to escape from the torture and threats of juvenile gangs.
He mentioned the matter in this letter to Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman on Monday (April 21) noon.
In the letter he mentioned, I am living permanently in Hillview Society with my wife. My Noornagar housing society has 4 khata by 8 khata plots.
I make unregistered deed of intention to sell property to Syed Ahmed Dulal to repay my bank loan last 8 years. Then Syed Ahmad Dulal made me move for 5 years without getting the plot registered. Out of this, I sold my family property with another 70 lakh rupees and paid off the bank loan by taking a loan from another bank.
Later Syed Ahmad Dulal filed suit 592/21 to get back the money he had deposited without taking the land registry. The case is still pending in court. Meanwhile, as per the court order, I deposit some money in the court. Whereas Syed Ahmad Dulal attacked me several times with his youth gang members in the last few months and threatened to kill me. Last 8th some youth gang members sent to my house with indigenous weapons. A gang of teenagers led by Syed Ahmad Dulal made their way down my path after Juma prayers on Friday, took me into the local mosque, threatened to kill me and abused me in profanity. Later when I called 999 I was rescued under the leadership of SI Kibria of Panchlaish Khana and the juvenile gang members and Dulal escaped.
The victim MA Wadud told Banglanews that I have written a letter to the Chittagong District Commissioner to avoid the emergence of juvenile gangs. He said he will look into the matter.
