After almost 20 years, the association of doctors supported by Awami League, the Independence Physician Parishad (Swachip) of Chittagong district and Chittagong Medical College (Chamek) branch conference today Monday (April 22). The conference will be held at Chamek’s Shah Alam Bir-Uttam Auditorium at noon.
Around the conference, there was a lot of excitement among doctors supported by the government party in Chittagong. At the conference, all eyes are on the election of new leadership.
Various discussions are going on about who is coming to lead the two committees. However, it is heard that along with the senior doctors, new ones are also coming to the leadership.
Swachip Chittagong district branch convener Sheikh Shafiul Azam said that the conference has been delayed due to various reasons related to the case. Today the conference will be held in a festive atmosphere.
District committee member secretary and former general secretary of BMA Chittagong branch Mohammad Sharif said, ‘Swachip is a popular organization of doctors in Chittagong. We are working together to ensure that the conference is held in a fair and beautiful environment. We hope that leadership will emerge from those who have taken the reins of the organization in difficult times as well as dedicated activists.’
