Haji Salim, Member of Parliament of Dhaka-7 Constituency, distributed oranges among the Awami League Party Nomination Forms in the 12th National Parliament Elections. Two sons Solaiman Salim and Irfan Salim were also with him at that time.

This scene was seen in front of the party’s central office on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Tuesday (November 21) at noon.

Eyewitnesses said that Haji Salim came to submit the nomination form with about 10,000 workers-supporters. They brought a huge fleet of vehicles including more than 30 horse carriages, pick-ups, motorcycles, private cars. At that time, his son Solaiman Salim was next to his open-top Prado car. They both waved their hands and greeted the leaders and activists around. They threw small oranges at pedestrians and accompanying activists. Later he got down from the car and entered the central office of Awami League pushing the crowd of activists.

Due to the large number of workers-supporters, there was a long traffic jam from Secretariat, Gulistan to GPO road.

It is known that the Salim family has collected three nomination forms to participate in the 12th National Assembly elections. One of which is Haji Md. In the name of Selim. The other two are in the name of his elder son Solaiman Selim and younger son Irfan Selim. All the three forms were collected from Dhaka-7 constituency last Sunday.
