Armed Forces Day celebration at Bogra Cantonment

Like every year this year also 21st November was celebrated as Armed Forces Day with due dignity and respect in Bogra cantonment. On Tuesday (November 21) afternoon, a grand reception was organized at Bogra cantonment. Where 177 brave freedom fighters were present.

At the beginning of the welcome speech, the chief guest of the program remembered Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the Bengali nation of all times and paid tribute to countless brave martyrs and brave freedom fighters whose sacrifices have achieved the desired freedom. In particular, he highly praised the immense bravery, cooperation and heroic contribution of Bogra region in the liberation war and paid humble respect to all the brave martyrs including the brave freedom fighters of Bogra region present at the event. Apart from this, he thanked all the freedom fighters, family members of martyrs and invited guests and expressed gratitude for attending the event and gracing the occasion.

In his speech, the chief guest said that in addition to fulfilling professional duties, the armed forces are contributing to the overall development of the country by dealing with any disaster at the national level, building infrastructure, serving humanity, countering terrorism in Chittagong region, suppressing militancy, assisting the civil administration and various nation-building activities.

Apart from this, the UN has brightened the country’s image in the international arena by faithfully performing its duties in peacekeeping operations. He also said that the present government is always committed to strengthening the armed forces with modern technological military equipment with a view to modernization, expansion and modernization.
