The body of a young man was recovered in Sylhet Online version

The police recovered the body of a young man with his hands cut off from the tea garden of Alibahar in Sylhet city. The body was recovered from Kattila in Bagan around 4:30 pm on Tuesday. The name of the deceased youth is Sitesh Chand Gop. He is the son of Rakhal Chand Gop of Ghoshpara village of Ward No. 8 of Habiganj Sadar.

Locals said that the police was informed after seeing the body of the young man lying on the hill of the tea garden. Later the police went and recovered the body and sent it to Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. One of the young man’s hands was amputated. The police recovered a dagger and a blood-stained shirt from the side of the body.

Airport Police Station OC Moin Uddin Sipan said that Sitesh Chandra’s body was identified by his elder brother Gopesh Chand Gop.
Quoting Gopesh, the police said that Sitesh Chand admitted his wife to Jalalabad Ragib-Rabeya Medical College Hospital a few days ago. A child was born to her on Monday night. Earlier, Sitesh was missing since Sunday. On Monday, the family lodged a complaint with the police station. It is initially believed that Sitesh was murdered. There are stab marks on his body.
