Chittagong: More than 32 applications have been submitted for each seat for admission to 10 government secondary schools in the city. Chittagong Collegiate School received the most applications.
There, 16 thousand 203 applications have been submitted against 274 seats in the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth classes.

He said that the application was accepted online from 11 am on October 24 and till 5 pm on November 18. More than 32 applications have been submitted in each constituency for admission to 10 government secondary schools in Chittagong city.
It is known that in the academic year 2024, the number of seats in 10 government schools of the city is 2 thousand 424. Against this, 78 thousand 599 applications have been submitted. According to that calculation more than 32 students have applied against each seat.
The highest number of applications for admission have been received in the fifth class. In class V, against 1 thousand 545 seats, 39 thousand 211 applications have been submitted. Besides, 25 thousand 245 applications have been submitted against 500 seats in the sixth class. 2 thousand 673 applications have been submitted against 10 seats in class VII. 2 thousand 826 applications against 10 seats in class VIII and 8 thousand 388 applications against 359 seats in class IX.
