The United Nations has called on the government and political parties to do whatever is necessary for a peaceful, inclusive and credible election in Bangladesh.

Stephen Dujarric, spokesman of the UN Secretary General at the United Nations headquarters in New York, made this call in a regular briefing on Monday.
