Chittagong: The court sentenced 2 people to 5 years imprisonment in the case of two Yabars of Kotwali and Baklia police stations of the city. On Tuesday (November 21), the Fourth Additional Chittagong Metropolitan Sessions Judge Shariful Alam Bhunyar Court gave this verdict.
The two sentenced are – Munshiganj District Lauhjong Thana Kor Hati area Md. Son of Fazlur Rahman. Masud Rana (43) and Moheshkhali police station of Cox’s Bazar district of Kalamarchhara area. Sultan’s son Arab Ali (23).

From the documents of the case, it is known that on March 1, 2020, from Brijghat Road Firingi Bazar area of Kotwali police station of the city. Masud Rana was arrested. At this time, 2 thousand 550 pieces of yaba were recovered from him. On September 22, 2014, 200 pieces of Yaba were recovered from Arab Ali in front of Liza Club of Baklia police station in the city. In two cases, a case was filed in the police station, after the investigation in two cases, after filing the charge sheet in the court, the trial started by forming a complaint against 2 people.

Masood sentenced Rana and Arab Ali to 5 years of rigorous imprisonment, 5 thousand rupees fine and 6 months of unpaid imprisonment. Two accused escaped on bail. An arrest warrant has been issued against them based on the conviction warrant.
