A special form of martial art ‘Vhabinam’ was born in 1938 in Vietnam. On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of this Bhavinam, Vietnam organized the ‘Seventh World Bhavinam Championship-2023’ with the participation of 35 countries. Bangladesh Savate team of 7 members went to participate in this international tournament with the support of Walton Hi-Tech Industries, plc, a sports friendly organization. They left the country for Vietnam on Monday night. They reach there in the morning. All team members are healthy.
The championship will start on Wednesday in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Will continue till November 30. As there is no recognized association of Bhabinam in Bangladesh, Bangladesh participated in this tournament from Savate Association.
Before leaving the country, Shifu Dildar Hasan Dilu, the promoter of Bangladesh Bhavinam and Chairman of Savate Development Commission Bangladesh, said, ‘We have played in the Bhavinam World Cup before. I also won a medal. I hope to return from Vietnam with a medal. Thanks to Walton for supporting us to participate in this international tournament.’

Besides Vietnam and Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Algeria, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Chinese Taipei, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Ivory Coast, Japan, Kazakhstan, South Korea will participate in the Bhavinam Championship. , Spain, Laos, Libya, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Romania, Russia, Senegal and Thailand.
A total of 5 players from Bangladesh participated in a total of 9 events in fight and display category. Two people went with them as coaches and officials. Bangladesh team players are – Tabibur Rahman, Naimur Rahman Shubo, Mohammad Sohag, Mohammad Junaid Hossain and Shah Alam. Dildar Hasan Dilu and team coach Salim Uddin Pintu are as head delegate and manager.
Note that earlier in 2013, Bangladesh team won a bronze medal by participating in Bhavinam World Cup. Besides, in 2015, 2018 and 2019, he played in international tournaments and won medals. In 2018, Bangladesh became the champion in the South Asian Bhavinam Championship organized in the country.
The Bangladesh team will return home on December 2 after participating in the 7th World Bhabinam Championship in Vietnam.
