Bangladesh Teachers’ Association handing out human bonds and memorandum in Rangpur

Rangpur district branch of Bangladesh Teachers’ Association organized a human chain in Rangpur to protest against the temporary suspension of the Bangladesh Teachers’ Association (BTA) Central General Secretary Principal Sheikh Kawshar Ahmed by the managing committee and to withdraw the order of dismissal.

On Tuesday (November 21) at 11 a.m. in front of the District Commissioner’s office, BTA Rangpur District Branch organized a human band program under the chairmanship of BTA Rangpur District Branch President Principal Atiyar Rahman and General Secretary Principal Mohammad Ali, General Secretary of Metropolitan Branch Shah Md Lutfar Rahman spoke. , President of Sadar Upazila Ayesha Siddika, General Secretary Akhinur Rahman, President of Badarganj Upazila Mostak Ahmed and other presidents and general secretaries from different upazilas.

At the end of the human chain, the Rangpur District Commissioner presented a memorandum to the Prime Minister of the Government of Bangladesh. Rangpur District Commissioner Mohammad Mobaswer Hasan accepted the memorandum at this time.

According to human bonds and memorandum sources, the BTA organization consisting of private secondary teachers has been continuously struggling since 1921 with the aim of introducing quality education along with changes in the colonial education system. Its current president is Principal Md. Bazlur Rahman Miah and General Secretary Principal Sheikh Kawshar Ahmed. Teachers are the conscience of society. Respect for teachers is paramount. They cannot be compared with anyone. But those teachers, especially the teachers of private educational institutions, are today supported by the management committee/governing body. Today, private teachers across the country are struggling to fulfill their professional responsibilities with respect due to their inability to accept injustice, injustice, and corruption. In this context, General Secretary of Bangladesh Teachers Association (BTA) Sheikh Kawshar Ahmed has been serving as the principal of Sabuj Vidyapeeth School and College under Dhaka Jatrabari Police Station for a long time. The Managing Committee President of the institution, Abul Kalam, harassed him in various ways for not tolerating illegal and unethical activities and finally removed him and systematically suspended him with the aim of re-appointing the Principal in anticipation of huge financial gains.

On the other hand, due to Gopalganj being the home of Sheikh Kaushar Ahmed, the believers in BNP-Jamaat’s ideals cannot accept him and his ideals, so he has been repeatedly hindered in fulfilling his professional duties. Principal Sheikh Kawshar Ahmed was sacked for 7 (seven) years because he was fired directly from the school without following the instructions of the then MP Salauddin Ahmed in 2001 when BNP Jamaat was in power.

Therefore, as the guardian of five and a half lakh teachers-employees across the country, you (Prime Minister) would like to revoke the temporary dismissal order of the General Secretary of Bangladesh Teachers Association (BTA) Principal Sheikh Kawshar Ahmed: He is urgently requested to give the necessary instructions to reinstate him in his post.
