The meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation is starting tomorrow in Dhaka
Dhaka, November 21, 2023 (BASS): The two-day International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) executive committee meeting will begin tomorrow in Dhaka under the management of Bangladesh Gymnastics Federation (BGF).
FIG President Morinari Watanabe of Japan has already arrived in Dhaka on the occasion of the executive committee meeting.
Executive Committee meetings are usually held in countries where the FIG Executive Committee is a member. However, welcoming the initiative of BGF, this important meeting of the executive committee is being held in Dhaka.
Asian Gymnastics Union (AGU) President Abdul Rahman Ben Saad Alshatri of Qatar, African Gymnastics Union (UAG) President Ehab Esu of Egypt, European Gymnastics (EG) President Farid Gadibov of Azerbaijan, Pan American Gymnastics Union (PAGU) representative of Mexico arrived in Dhaka on the occasion of this important meeting. Naomi Chico Valenzo Aoki, president of Oceania Gymnastics (OG), New Zealand’s Mowbray FCG FGNZ and top gymnastics officials from 27 countries.
The meeting of the executive committee will start tomorrow at 9:30 am in a five-star hotel in the capital. Earlier, Bangladesh Army Chief and Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) President General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed will inaugurate the program as the chief guest.
BGF president Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Mamun believes that this event, which is very honorable for the country, will be a special milestone for gymnastics in Bangladesh.
