Berger’s CFO Sajjad Rahim received the Bangladesh C-Suite Award

Sajjad Rahim Chowdhury, Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Director of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited received the Bangladesh C-Suite Awards. He was honored as the ‘Chief Financial Officer/Finance Director’ of the year.

Sajjad Rahim Chowdhury assumed the role of Group CFO and Director at Berger Paints in August 2020. Sajjad Chowdhury, also working as a Chartered Accountant, has led various multinational companies in an illustrious career spanning nearly three decades. Prior to joining Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, he served as Finance Director and Company Secretary of Novartis Bangladesh Limited for six years and held the position of CFO for the distribution market in Sri Lanka and Maldives.

Sajjad Rahim’s notable roles include CFO of CityCell (a joint venture between Singapore Telecom and Pacific Bangladesh Telecom Limited), British American Tobacco Bangladesh Limited, Unilever Bangladesh Limited and various financial leadership positions at Kafco. Sajjad Chowdhury is also a director of Jensen & Nicholson (Bangladesh) Limited, Berger Tech Consulting Limited, Berger Baker Bangladesh Limited and Berger Fosrock Limited.

Expressing gratitude for the award, Sajjad Rahim said, ‘It is a great honor for me, although I am not in competition with others. Everyone is doing great work in their respective fields. I’m just trying to improve in my place and be a better person every day.’

Bangladesh C-Suite Awards-2023 presented by American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and conducted by Summit Communications Limited. BSRM, The Daily Star, A2I-Aspire to Innovate, Smart Bangladesh Network and Namcon are also collaborating as partners in organizing this prestigious event.
