Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Director General Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan visited the Bangladesh-Myanmar border.
He visited the border area of Cox’s Bazar on Monday (November 20) morning. Public relations officer of BGB headquarters. Shariful Islam informed the matter in a message on the same day evening.
He said that in addition to regular operational, training and administrative activities inspection, BGB Chief Ramu Sector’s Teknaf Battalion (2nd BGB) Hoikang BOP and Cox’s Bazar Battalion (34th BGB) Baishfandi BOP and Tumbru and Ghumdhum borders to monitor the border situation arising out of ongoing internal conflict in Myanmar. Visited the area.
During the visit, the Director General of BGB inquired about the BGB members of all levels on duty at the border.
During this time, he instructed to be careful about illegal infiltration along with carrying out duties professionally at the border. The BGB chief directed the successful implementation of the zero tolerance policy against drugs at the border and also instructed to be always ready to deal with any law and order situation in view of the upcoming 12th national parliament elections.

During the visit BGB Director General along with senior officers of BGB Headquarters, Cox’s Bazar Region Commander, Ramu Sector Commander and respective battalion commanders were present.
