New students of XI will get assistance of eight thousand rupees, application starts on Thursday – College

Daily Shiksha.com Reporter : Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust will help poor students to secure college admissions. 8,000 taka will be given as assistance to ensure admission of students from poor families admitted in class 11th. Indigent students have to apply online from next Thursday to get this money. Students can apply for admission assistance till December 18.

The Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust has issued a notification informing about the matter on Monday. On this day, the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education published the notification.

It is known that online application of students to get college admission assistance has started from November 23 (Thursday). By entering the prescribed link till 18th December (https://www.eservice.pmeat.gov.bd/admission/) can apply to get admission assistance.

According to the notification, the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust will provide admission assistance to ensure the admission of poor and meritorious students admitted in the 11th class in the academic year 2023-24 in various educational institutions under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, Directorate of Technical Education and Directorate of Madrasa Education. To get admission assistance the student can visit the prescribed website (www.eservice.pmeat.gov.bd/admission) to apply online by logging in.

Children of 13th to 20th Gray employees working in Govt-Semi-Government-Autonomous and Constitutional Institutions will be considered for Financial Grant Power. In other cases, the annual income of parents or guardians should be less than two lakh rupees.

Applications can be made using the system between November 23 and December 18 by uploading the required documents following the guidelines for using e-admission support.

Students will receive financial assistance for college admissions as per the ‘Admission Assistance Guidelines’ for students. Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust provides admission assistance to poor and meritorious students to ensure admission in educational institutions. At present, admission assistance is being given at the rate of Tk 5,000 at the secondary level, Tk 8,000 at the higher secondary level and Tk 10,000 at the graduation and equivalent levels.

In order to get admission assistance, the student’s photograph, birth registration certificate, national identity card of the guardian, recommendation of the head of the educational institution in the prescribed form will be required. And in the case of children of Class III and IV employees, the parents or guardians will require the attestation or recommendation of the head of the working institution.

According to the trust, money is sent after four to six months of application. If the student is selected for admission assistance, he/she will be notified through SMS on his/her mobile.
