Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-3) has arrested two members of Chhatra Dal while preparing to sabotage the strike. RAB also said that a total of 98 saboteurs have been arrested. According to RAB, criminals from different areas are coming to Dhaka and doing sabotage.

The arrested are the joint general secretary of Dhaka College Chhatra Dal. Swaib Ahmed Sajib (28) and an active member of the student body of Northern University. Survey Hussain (23).

Commander of RAB-3 Lieutenant Colonel Arif Mohiuddin Ahmed gave this information at a press conference organized at Tikatuli RAB-3 headquarters in the capital on Monday (November 20).

Arif Mohiuddin Ahmed said that the criminals have come to Dhaka from different areas and are wreaking havoc. Recently in all the divisional and district cities including Dhaka, the defendants of various cases aimed at creating sabotage, former Central Chhatra Dal leader Md. Teams of 12 to 15 come together under Eamon’s leadership.

Later, at 8:30 in the morning, the RAB members tried to arrest the Jhatika procession from Motijheel AGB Colony Kachabazar area and tried to block the road and sabotage the procession, the procession was dispersed. But members of RAB-3 were able to arrest Dhaka College Chhatra Dal secretary Swaib Ahmed Sajeeb and Northern University Chhatra Dal active member Surve Hossain while picketing.

The RAB captain also said that the operation of the RAB in this area is ongoing until those involved are brought under the law. In addition, intelligence activities are continuing to arrest the absconding accused. Legal action is pending against those arrested.
