Awami League sold 733 forms on the third day of selling party nomination forms. Out of this 709 forms were sold directly and 24 forms were sold online. On the third day, 3 crore 66 lakh 50 thousand taka has been deposited in the party fund. In three days, 3 thousand 19 aspirants bought the nomination form of Awami League. 15 crore 9 lakh 50 thousand taka has been deposited in the fund of the party.

And against 300 seats, an average of more than 10 aspirants have already bought the form per seat. Among them are young and old and veteran leaders, former minister-MP, former leader of Chhatra League, academicians, lawyers, journalists, popular stars of film and sports. Today is the last day for sale and submission of nomination forms.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina officially inaugurated the sale of Awami League nomination forms at the party’s central office on Bangabandhu Avenue on Saturday morning.

1 thousand 74 people collected nomination form on the first day. 1 thousand 212 nomination forms were sold on the second day from 10 am to 5 pm.

Actor Masum Parvez Rubel bought nomination form of Awami League from Barisal-3 constituency on the third day. After collecting the form, Rubel said, I have been chanting Joy Bangla since my student life. Like others in the acting world, I did not enter politics. My roots are Awami League.

Also, the popular small screen actor Siddiqur Rahman took form from Dhaka-17 and Tangail-1 constituencies. Actress Shami Kaiser bought Awami League form in Feni-3 seat. Earlier popular actress Mahia Mahi collected and submitted the nomination form of Awami League to be elected from Chapainawabganj-2 constituency.

Former Vice-Chancellor of Jahangirnagar University Professor Anwar Hossain bought Awami League form from Netrokona-5 seat. The former chairman of the Public Service Commission (PSC) bought the party nomination form of Awami League from Sunamganj-4 seat. Mohammad Sadiq Mashrafe Mortaza, the former captain of the national cricket team, bought the nomination form of Awami League to become a member of parliament for the second time from Narail-2 seat. Three leaders of the Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal have collected the party nomination form of Awami League. They are BAS president Rezaul Rashid Khan in Sirajganj-6 constituency, member Hamidul in Sunamganj-2 constituency and member Md. Bakul Hossain in Brahmanbaria-1 seat.

On the third day, the former general secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League Golam Rabbani bought nomination form from Madaripur-2 seat. He said, I have worked in public service before and will continue in the future. Following the ideals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and compassionate leader Deshramat Sheikh Hasina, I have done philanthropic and humanitarian work all over the country for the sole needs of the country and people without the chair-power-position. Awami League Member of Parliament Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shaon came to the party office from the High Court shrine gate with thousands of leaders and activists to submit the nomination form of Awami League for Bhola-3 seat at the party office at 23 Bangabandhu Avenue.
