Jagannath University (Job): After being released from prison, Khadijatul Kubra took the exam of Jagannath University (JAB) in his department. She is a student of 2019-20 academic year of political science department of the university.
On Monday (November 20), Khadija was released from Kashimpur Women’s Jail at 9 am and came to Jabi to give her semester finals. His exam started at 10 am. He was released after one year two months and 23 days of his arrest.
Sirajum Monira, Khadija’s sister, said, “We go to the prison in the morning. Then released Khadija at 9 am. Khadija’s semester final exam starts today, that’s why I came early in the morning. Khadija entered the exam hall at 11:30 am.
Earlier, Khadija got bail on November 16. The bail order reached the jail authorities on Sunday (November 19) evening. But on Sunday, after a long wait, the relatives returned without him. On Thursday, the Appellate Division upheld the bail order given by the High Court in two Digital Security Act cases in Khadija’s name.
Jabir filed a case under the Digital Security Act in the name of Khadija, a student of Political Science Department on October 11 and 19, 2020 at Kalabagan and Newmarket Police Stations. He was arrested on August 27, 2022 after filing a charge sheet. He has been in jail for the past 11 months. Khadija could not give the exam for two semesters already. On February 16, the High Court granted him permanent bail in two cases in view of separate petitions.
