Adam Tamiji Haque, Managing Director of Haque Group of Industries, has returned to the country. He landed at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a commercial flight of Emirates Airlines on Monday (November 13) at 12:00 pm. At that time, he was detained in a room at the airport and interrogated for three hours. Later, law enforcement forces escorted him home with security.

It is known that Adam Tamiji Haque arrived in Dhaka on Monday around 12:00 PM on Emirates Airlines flight EK 453092474. On arrival at the airport, I was not given VIP status and was instead asked to proceed normally, he wrote in the Facebook post. At the airport law enforcement kept me in an office for 3 hours. There the officers accompanied me and spoke politely. I was then politely escorted to the exit and to my car. I lost my temper with them a few times while sitting at the airport office but they never disrespected me. I am safe and home now.

Earlier in his Facebook post, he wrote, ‘For the information of all my workers, officials and employees, I am Adam Tamiji Haque will be landing at Dhaka Airport at 11 pm on Monday to protect your livelihood. So all my workers, officers and employees, who truly respect and love Haq are instructed to be present in front of the VIP gate at the airport by 9 pm tomorrow.’

Meanwhile, Tamiji Haque apologized for burning his Bangladeshi passport. Said, ‘Due to excessive emotion, he did such an act. Which should not have happened at all. He loves Bangladesh very much.’

Note that in September, Tamiji Haque announced on Facebook that a Minister of State (Minister of State for Youth and Sports) in Gazipur was trying to confiscate his business, forcing him to return to Bangladesh from abroad to protect his business.
