Two leaders of Chhatra Dal were allegedly picked up in Barisal

Barisal Mahanagar Chhatra Dal President Advocate Rezaul Karim Roni and Govt Syed Hatim Ali College Chhatra Dal Member Secretary Ahad Hossain Abir have alleged that the people in plain clothes have taken away the BNP. Expressing concern over the incident, the Metropolitan BNP demanded their immediate search and release.

Mahanagar BNP member (office affairs) Zahidur Rahman Ripon complained that around 4 am on Tuesday, Mahanagar Chhatra Dal president Rezaul Karim Roni and Hatim Ali College Chhatra Dal member secretary Ahad Hossain Abir were taken away from Swarod Roni’s aunt’s house by white-clothes men. Since then there is no trace of them. On behalf of the family, they could not get any information about the news from law enforcement agencies.

Zahidur Rahman Ripon said in a statement quoting Metropolitan BNP Senior Joint Convenor Ali Haider Babul and Member Secretary Mir Zahidul Kabir, that the two Chhatra Dal leaders were picked up in white clothes and the family was worried about not getting any information about them. BNP leaders demanded their immediate search and release.

OC of Kotyali Model Police Station. Anwar Hossain said that police did not arrest anyone from Chhatra Dal. No organization even handed over anyone from the Chhatra Dal to the police station till 5 pm. The OC said that legal action will be taken if anyone complains about this.
