Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury, Chairperson of Trinamool BNP, said that they will field candidates for 300 seats in the next parliamentary elections. On Sunday (November 12) afternoon at his home in Vadeshwar, Sylhet, he gave this information in an exchange meeting with the members of Biyanibazar Fishermen’s Association.
Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury said that he will contest in Sylhet-6 (Golapganj-Bianibazar) constituency in the next election. Apart from this, his party will officially start the election campaign soon by visiting the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (Rahd) and Hazrat Shahparan (Rahd) of Sylhet.
He also said that Trinamool BNP is an election oriented party. We will participate in the 12th National Parliament Election. My politics is for the welfare of people. I always love grassroots people. I will be the charioteer of their happiness and sorrow.
Earlier Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury Bhadeshwar offered Zohar prayer at Mokambazar Shah Putla Jame Masjid. After that, he exchanged ideas and skills with the local worshipers. Later held a meeting with the representatives of the fisheries association.
The party’s workers-supporters including Manik Mia, General Secretary of Biyanibazar Fishermen’s Association, MA Hannan, convener of Sylhet district branch of Trinamool BNP, Chana Mia, convener of Golapganj upazila branch were present in the meeting.
Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury was the vice chairman of BNP. Resigned from BNP in 2015. On December 8, 2018, he joined Bangladesh as an advisor on foreign affairs. Later, in the 11th National Assembly elections, he became a candidate for Sylhet-6 constituency in the alternative nomination. However, before the election, he withdrew from the election by supporting Awami League’s candidate, former Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid.
