Chittagong: Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman said that all types of supply chain should be fixed. In this case, by coordinating in the district, the goods carrying vehicles bound for Dhaka are gathered together with the help of law and order forces to ensure safe transportation from district to district.

Already the Executive Magistrate, Police and BGB are engaged in this work.

This decision was taken in the morning of Sunday (November 12) in the District Law and Order Committee meeting at Chittagong Circuit House under the chairmanship of Chittagong District Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman in the presence of CMP, District Police, RAB, Coast Guard, Narcotics Control Directorate, BRTA, BGB.

The Deputy Commissioner said, DD Narcotics Control is asked to send a letter of recommendation to take necessary measures to improve government drug addiction treatment centers. Members of the District Law and Order Committee are also emphasized to visit healing centers in team form. The concerned administration and law enforcement agencies should be vigilant about drug smuggling using the Sagar sub-river of Banshkhali and Sandwip.

He said, in order to prevent the increase in daily necessities, the concerned importers will from now on present the price information of all the imported products and where the products have been delivered on the dashboard. Which will be helpful in market monitoring. Necessary measures should be taken by holding meetings to coordinate the quantity of products being supplied from importers and mill owners with the help of the Chamber.

Regarding BRTA, the Deputy Commissioner said that measures should be taken to prevent cars from being kept or parked on the side of the road without owners. Necessary steps will be taken by BRTA to take legal action against such vehicles and unregistered vehicles by increasing mobile court operations.
To facilitate registration of unregistered vehicles in Hathajari, Patia area, 2 to 3 days of registration should be done every month by camping.

He instructed the concerned Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Assistant Commissioner (Land) to operate more mobile courts than before to resolve the traffic congestion on Hathajari, Raujan, Fatikchari roads.

The women affairs officer should make regular visits to the safe homes run by social services to inquire about the occupants.

BGB captain said, BGB is working in drug rescue operations. As drugs come through the border area, their activities have been intensified at the border. There is a need to treat vagrant drug addicts in government drug addiction treatment centers. The operation against arms recovery is also continuing. The district police are awarded annually by the Ministry of Home Affairs for their achievements in drug recovery, arms recovery and smuggling. All the concerned public representatives, imams, teachers, priests should work together to prevent drugs. All drug addicts should be socially hated.

The civil surgeon said, drug addiction treatment centers do not involve CV surgeons, but such patients are actually given medical care.
