152 platoons of BGB have been deployed across the country including 27 platoons in Dhaka and surrounding districts to control the law and order situation. Apart from this, sufficient number of BGB platoons are on standby.

Public relations officer of BGB. Shariful Islam said, 152 platoons of BGB have been deployed across the country to control the law and order situation. Among them, 27 platoons of BGB are deployed in Dhaka and surrounding districts. Apart from this, sufficient number of BGB platoons are on standby.
Incidentally, the government has been deploying the BGB along with the police to prevent untoward incidents from happening around the blockade program called by BNP-Jamaat and like-minded parties and the movement of garment workers.
The BNP-Jamaat and their partners have previously held a strike on October 29 and a three-day blockade on October 31, November 1 and 2 in protest against the attack, killing, and arrest of the Mahasambesh on October 28 and a one-point demand for the fall of the government. Then on November 5 and 6 in the second phase, on November 8 and 9 in the third phase, they held the blockade program. And the fourth round of 48-hour blockade started from Sunday.
