Minister of State for Women and Child Affairs Fazilatun Nessa Indira said that girl students should be given priority in education to build a smart and well-educated nation. Modern, progressive and conscious girls will play a role in building a developed, prosperous and smart Bangladesh of 2041 announced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. That is why we have to prevent child marriage.
He said these things at the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed academic building of the school in Rikabi Bazar Girls High School premises on Sunday (November 12).
State Minister Indira said, ‘Students should imbibe the life and ideals of the father of the nation from the beginning of their lives. The history of the Great War of Liberation should be known. Must be good-natured and good-hearted people. Bangabandhu’s gold should be the gold man of Bengal. We have to develop the country and serve the people with our acquired knowledge and experience.
He said, ‘Bangalbandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is leading Bangladesh on the highway of development at an unstoppable speed. Sheikh Hasina is inaugurating big projects one after another like Padma Bridge, Metrorail, Rooppur Power Station, Karnaphuli Tunnel, Third Terminal of Airport, Elevated Expressway, Matarbari Deep Sea Port, and Payarabandar. To continue the trend of development, Bangladesh Awami League nominated candidate should win in the next national parliament election.
President of Rikabi Bazar Girls High School Shahidul Islam Shahin presided over the event and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Afifa Khan, Additional Superintendent of Police Yasina Ferdous and Principal Ashrafuzzaman were present in the event.
