In various demands including the resignation of the government in the lower court of Dhaka Like-minded political parties and alliances including BNP called for a 48-hour blockade Pro-BNP lawyers marched in support.
On Sunday, the procession led by Nationalist Lawyers Forum Dhaka Bar Unit started in front of the Dhaka Lawyers Association, went around the Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court and ended in front of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s (CMM) Court.
Nationalist Lawyer Forum Dhaka Bar President Advocate Masud Ahmed Talukder, General Secretary Advocate Omar Farooq Farooq led the procession.
Former President Advocate Khorshed Mia Alam, Senior Vice President Advocate Azizul Islam Khan Bachchu, Vice President Advocate Mo Iqbal Hossain, Associate Relief Secretary of Nationalist Lawyers Forum Central Committee Advocate Hannan Bhuiyan and hundreds of lawyers were present.
It is to be noted that the 48-hour blockade has started again today with the call of like-minded political parties and alliances including BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami for various demands including the resignation of the government in the fourth round. The blockade of the fourth phase from 6 am will continue till 6 am on Tuesday. They will carry out a nationwide blockade program including roads, railways, waterways and highways.
