After 5 years, the mood of the festival surrounds the public meeting of the Prime Minister in Khulna

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to Khulna tomorrow Monday. In the afternoon, he will attend the Khulna Divisional Public Meeting organized by Awami League at the Khulna Circuit House ground. He will inaugurate 24 development projects and lay the foundation stone of 5 projects there. After 5 years, Khulna has turned into a festival city around this grand gathering of the Prime Minister. Strict security measures have been taken in and around the gathering place.

According to Khulna district administration sources, the prime minister will land at the helipad constructed at Khulna district stadium at quarter past 1 on Monday by helicopter. After that, he will hold an exchange meeting with departmental level officials at Circuit House from 1 pm to 2 pm. He will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects at the circuit house grounds at 3:30 pm. After that, he will join the Khulna divisional public meeting organized by Awami League.

According to the district administration, the Prime Minister will inaugurate 24 development projects implemented at a cost of Tk 2,369 crore and lay the foundation stone of 5 projects costing Tk 223 crore.

Meanwhile, the city is in a festive mood around the Prime Minister’s public meeting. The city is covered with pylons, posters, placards, billboards. Meanwhile, a huge stage has been constructed in the circuit house field in the model of boat and Padma bridge. At night, the important intersections of the city are illuminated.

Awami League Central Joint Secretary Bahauddin Nashim, Organizing Secretary BM Mozammel Haque and OSM Kamal Hossain, Prime Minister’s cousin and Member of Parliament Sheikh Helal Uddin, Member of Parliament Sheikh Salahuddin Jewel, Khulna City Corporation Mayor Talukdar Abdul Khalek along with Awami League leaders visited Circuit House on Sunday afternoon. He looked at the preparations for the public meeting in the field.

At that time, Awami League joint secretary Bahauddin Nashim said that this public meeting is very important before the elections. The Prime Minister will give an orientation speech in the public meeting, he will bring forward the important aspects of the upcoming elections.

Awami League Organizing Secretary SM Kamal Hossain said that preparations have been made to gather 10 lakh people of Khulna Division and Gopalganj and Pirojpur in the public meeting. This public meeting will be the largest public meeting in recent memory. Microphones have been provided on all the roads around the meeting place, so that after the meeting place is filled to the brim, the activists can stand on the road and listen to the speech of the beloved leader.

Meanwhile, the people of Khulna are waiting for at least 20 demands including pipeline gas supply and airport construction in Khulna. In this regard, Prime Minister’s cousin and Member of Parliament Sheikh Helal Uddin told reporters that 18 demands of Khulna residents will be presented to the Prime Minister. We hope that the Prime Minister will make a positive announcement in this regard.

Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner. Mozammel Haque said that tight security has been ensured around the arrival of the Prime Minister. Uniformed and plainclothes police will operate in public places. Closed circuit cameras have been installed in and around the circuit house grounds. The entire city has been covered by a blanket of security.

He said that adequate security measures have been taken to ensure that people can come to the public meeting place and return safely after the public meeting. Adequate traffic police are being deployed so that there is no traffic jam. Naval police will patrol the waterway. Security has been ensured in coordination with the district police, naval police and intelligence agencies. Police have been brought from different districts.

Earlier, on March 3, 2018, the Prime Minister came to a public meeting at the Khulna Circuit House ground. Later he came to Khulna on a personal visit on January 6 this year.
