Changing the shape of Bangladesh’ Sheikh Hasina: Minister of State for Naval Affairs

State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said that many other Prime Ministers have come to Bangladesh, but Sheikh Hasina is the only one who is the ‘transformer of Bangladesh’.

Khalid was speaking after inaugurating various projects and laying the foundation stone of some new projects in Setabganj Municipal Ground of Dinajpur on Saturday.

He said, “There have been many Prime Ministers, many will come, but we will not get a Sheikh Hasina. A Bangabandhu will not be found in the next thousand years. Not even a Sheikh Hasina will be found in the next thousand years.”

After the assassination of Bangabandhu Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, no one except his eldest daughter Sheikh Hasina came to power and could not bring about change in the country on a large scale, said the Minister of State for Naval Affairs.

He said, “Where has Bangladesh gone today? It takes one and a half hours to go from Matarbari to Cox’s Bazar, it takes two and a half hours from Chittagong to Matarbari by sea. After the inauguration of Matarbari deep sea port yesterday at 5 pm, I came to Dinajpur at 11 pm and had rice at my home. Can it be imagined? This is the development of Sheikh Hasina. This Bangladesh has changed.

Highlighting Sheikh Hasina’s patriotism, the state minister said, “If she is at the helm, the country will transform into a smart Bangladesh long before 2041. You can imagine the hard work she is doing even at this age. Her responsibility to do something for the people is impossible. So I say, right. There is no substitute for leadership. There is no substitute for planned action.”

Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury emphasized on sowing the seeds of leadership among the students and said, “I will tell those who are young today, you should pay attention not only to doctors-engineers or big jobs, but also to develop leadership in you.”

Highlighting the ‘planned development’ in Setabganj municipality of his constituency, Khalid said, “That’s why we all celebrated this development.”

At this time, he informed about the plan to implement more people-friendly development projects including a multipurpose auditorium, art complex in Setabganj. At the same time, he also reminded about the civic responsibility to build a clean Dinajpur.
