Prime Minister is always sincere in the development of Sylhet: Sisik Mayor

Sylhet, November 12, 2023 (BASS): Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is always sincere in the development of Sylhet people.
The Mayor expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and all concerned for the recent approval of Tk 1,459 crore project for overall infrastructure development of Sylhet City Corporation. On this occasion, he made this comment during a short speech at the meeting after the huge joyous rally organized by Sisik.
Sisik Mayor said that the Prime Minister has sincerely approved big projects for the welfare of the people of this city. In continuation of that, this time he approved the project of Tk 1 thousand 459 crores. He is Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Planning Minister MA Mannan and Foreign Minister on behalf of Sylhet city residents. AK Abdul Momen, Local Government Minister Tajul Islam expressed his gratitude to all concerned and pledged to make Sylhet a model city by making maximum use of every rupee allocated by the government.
Senior councilors and officials of CCIC also addressed the short gathering.
Earlier, under the leadership of Mayor Md. Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury, the rally took place in front of the city hall and passed through Bandar Bazar, Court Point, Zindabazar, Chowhatta and ended at Sylhet Central Shaheed Minar. Sylhet city corporation councilors, officials and employees besides city dwellers participated in the rally.
During the rally, the citizens and pedestrians stood at different places of the city and welcomed the Sisik rally with applause.
