Shabiprabi (Sylhet): Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Shabiprobi) has inaugurated a parking zone in front of the academic building to ease traffic congestion.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed inaugurated the academic building-COD parking zone of the university on Sunday (November 12).
During the inauguration, the Vice-Chancellor said, ‘The facade of the academic buildings has become beautiful and orderly through the inauguration of the parking zone at Drishtinandan. As a result, teachers and students can keep their used cars in specific places. ‘
He also said that a lot of work has been done in this university. Among them, the quality of many works, including the university center, has not improved. Therefore, the work that will be done from now on, will be done keeping the quality standard. As a result, the buildings will not have to be touched in the next hundred years. We are always trying to spend the budget allocated by the government appropriately. But for some dishonest people it doesn’t happen.
The Vice-Chancellor urged all concerned to maintain the quality of all the work of the university from now on.
Convenor of the parking zone construction committee Professor Dr. Md. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Faisal Ahmed also spoke. Kabir Hossain, Treasurer Professor Amina Parveen.
Among others, the dean of various faculties of the university, the leaders of the teachers’ association, the director of student advice and guidance, Professor Dr. Md. Rashed Talukder, Proctor Professor Kamruzzaman Chowdhury, Registrar, Heads of various departments, Heads of Departments, teachers, officers and employees were present.
It should be noted that in order to solve the traffic congestion in front of the university buildings, a total of 7 car parking zones including 5 in front of the academic building and 2 in front of the administrative building have been taken.
