Barisal: In order to make the blockade program called by BNP successful, the leaders-activists blocked the road by burning tires in addition to holding torches and protest marches.

On Sunday (November 12) morning, the supporters led by Afroza Khanam Nasreen, a member of Mahanagara BNP and former leader of Chhatra Dal, blocked roads and vandalized cars in Nathullabad area of ​​Barisal Nagar.

Earlier on Saturday (November 11) night, a torch procession was held in support of the blockade at Amtala intersection in the city. Ward number 24 BNP member secretary Riaz took out this procession. Apart from this, the Mahanagar Jubo Dal also held a demonstration in the night in favor of the blockade.

The first incident of setting fire to a bus in Barisal city took place during the blockade called by BNP-Jamaat in Barisal on Saturday night. Miscreants set fire to a bus in Kashipur area of ​​the city early on Sunday morning.

Local night watchman Sagar Hossain Molla said that early in the morning, 15 to 16 youths with indigenous weapons set fire to a bus on the side of the road in Kashipur area of ​​the city. Later, when 999 was called, the fire service and the police immediately went and brought the situation under control.

Meanwhile, domestic and long-distance buses started running as the day progressed. Launch movement is also normal. Normal situation on the roads like any other day. Business, commerce, courts, educational activities are normal. However, law and order forces are on alert on the road.
